Northwest Investment Company is a real estate investor, property management and brokerage firm. Incorporated in 1965, Northwest Investment Company, Inc. was founded by Kenneth S. Hammer. NW Investment Builders was founded by brothers Keith S. Hammer and K. Chris Hammer and is part of the family owned and operated NWIGROUP. NW Investment Builders is the builder and general contractor for the NW Investment Group also has property management and real estate holdings. Our Team

Kenneth S. Hammer
Ken holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and is a licensed Real-Estate Managing Broker. Ken founded Northwest Investment Company in 1965 and has been a real estate broker practicing in selling and leasing commercial properties and property management for since the early 1960's. Ken is a people person and excels at networking and contributes his wisdom and guidance to every deal.

Keith S. Hammer
Keith holds a Master in Science of Industrial Administrations (MBA) from Purdue and a Bachelor's degree in Business with a minor in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University. Keith has extensive experience in development and construction. Keith brings 14 years of experience in residential development and residential and commercial building construction. Most recently, Keith was Director of Real Estate Development and Meridian Greenfield, a position he held for 10 years.

Prior to his tenure at Meridian, Keith worked developing a pipeline of land for a large home builder in the Denver, CO market area. Keith has also worked as a Project Engineer/Manager for a large commercial contractor, Baugh Construction (now Skanska). Keith is effective in selecting and positioning projects for success. He has a talent for initiating. Keith has both the capacity to managing the diverse demands of development from realizing concepts through marketing products and the ability to efficiently managing projects. Keith is responsible for day to day management of development projects and is working full time toward this end.

K. Chris Hammer, PE, PMP
Chris holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of the Pacific and is a licensed civil engineer, real estate broker, and PMI certified project manager. Chris has experience in both the public and private sector in a wide range of engineering and related disciplines. Chris currently is employed by the City of Bainbridge Island as a Project Manager. Chris is current assignments include the Winslow Way Redevelopment Project. This project involves the complex and contentious reconstruction of the City's main street. Chris received his training in project management at WSDOT where he was part of the project management team at the marine division that at that time had a 10 year capital improvement program valued in excess of $1 billion dollars. Additionally Chris is experienced with municipal building and development permitting. Prior to working for government Chris worked at KPFF Consulting Engineers. He has over 10 years of experience in the private sector and broad range of civil and structural design experience in with both residential and commercial projects. Chris has a combination of diverse knowledge and experience in project management, permitting, design, estimating, and construction administration and a talent for avoiding pit falls and maximizing value in projects. Chris serves in an advisory role on a part time basis.

November 17, 2011The Dwell/NW Investment Builders submits for permits for Phase 3 of the Rainier Vista project. Phase 3 consist of three ultra-cool, modern single family homes; a continuation of Phase 1 and 2 in this community.

November 7, 2011Following great success in Phase 1, NW Investment Builders and Dwell Development begin construction on Phase 2 of Columbia Station at Rainier Vista in a continuing partnership. Phase 2 is four detached single family homes each with an unique floor plans between 1,400 to 1800 s.f., all priced in the low $400's. As always with the Columbia Station at Rainier Vista homes will follow the Dwell brand: Super energy efficient modern designs.

July 15, 2011NW Investment Builders lists the first of twelve townhomes with Alchemy Real Estate. With the help of Alchemy Real Estate, the project has been branded Copper Square Twelve. Come see these affordable, clean and modern 3 bedroom/ 3 bath townhomes in the Lake City Neighborhood of Seattle.

March 29, 2011NWIGROUP acquires 12 townhomes in the Lake City Neighborhood. This project was negotiated and purchased from the FDIC and was partially complete.

March 10, 2011NW Investment Builder enters into a Joint Venture agreement with Dwell Development for the purposes of building four speculative modern energy efficient homes in the Rainier Vista community in Seattle.

February 7, 2011NWI Group launches NW Investment Builder, LLC. NW Investment Builder is a General Contractor and Builder for the NWIGROUP.
